Hi, I’m Richard Oliver founder of Aimbition.

I started my career in one of the UK’s highest-pressure environments — as a Police Chief Inspector managing armed incidents, critical operations, and leading diverse teams through split-second decisions.

After two decades in policing, I pivoted — becoming the Managing Director of a growing construction company. I learned what it means to lead not just with authority, but with vision, clarity and heart.

Now, I speak to students, leaders, and teams about how to develop the mindset needed to thrive in uncertain, fast-moving environments.
